The customer was looking for a complete and efficient solution to process cast aluminum slabs into precision-sized plates and sub-sections.

Friggi proposed a dual-machine cutting line, with two perfectly integrated systems designed to manage the entire slab cutting process:

2MF TS HS – Horizontal and Vertical Cutting (Top, Bottom, Head, Tail)

Moving table and fixed head for maximum stability and precision
Rotating blade guide 0°–90°, enabling both vertical and horizontal cuts on the same setup
Carbide-tipped high-speed blades (up to 3000 m/min)
Controlled, smooth movement, with no need for intermediate repositioning
Integrated chip extraction system
Dry cut technology, with no thermal deformation of the material

VFT HS – Vertical Longitudinal Side Cutting
